About Temper
A few years ago, Sören and Frank performed together at a one-time company event. Right away, they realized how well they clicked musically. Soon after, Chris joined – and that was the beginning of what would later become Temper. At first, they rearranged songs from their previous bands. Three of those tracks are still part of our setlist today.
Their songs are in English and German. They are sometimes fast-paced, rocking and typical Metal, sometimes they are a bit darker. They are always melodic and catchy. And after a concert, you will find yourself humming a melody of one of their songs for the rest of the week.
All the different preferences and characters of the band make Temper and their songs so diverse and special, making it hard to put them in a pigeonhole – and that’s good!
Meet the Band
Frank - Vocals
My part is to combine lyrics and vocal melody with the instrumental forces. Usually, Sören brings brilliant riffs, and I follow the energy to feel what the song wants to say and let the words and melody grow from there.
My roots are in AC/DC and Deep Purple, but my heart beats for more modern bands like Papa Roach, Disturbed, and Siamese. I’m always chasing new sounds that inspire me.
I love strong hooks and sing-along choruses – especially when there’s an “Oh Oh Oh” to scream. Seeing you all move and react to our music is the best reward. See you at the next Temper show!
Gear
I use a Shure BLX24R/SM58 wireless mic, a Boss VE-500 for vocal effects, and an LD Systems MEI 1000 G2 for in-ear monitoring.
Rico - Guitar
I’m the latest addition to the band. I’ve known the guys for a while now and I’ve already stepped in to help out at some gigs. I used to play with Sören in a Melodic Metal band back in the day, so we’ve got a good rhythm going and we know where we’re headed. I’m feeling optimistic that I can bring some fresh ideas to Temper and help us move forward. I’m grateful to be a solid part of the band, there’s a lot of positive energy, creativity, and passion going on here.

I use a RAN Custom Shop flying-V guitar, a Marshall Amp, and a Harley Benton 4×12 cabinet.
Sören - Guitar
As a founding member of Temper, I am thrilled to share my passion for music with our fans. My love for music started in 2001 when I first picked up the guitar, and I haven’t put it down since. Before joining forces with my fellow bandmates to form Temper, I spent 10 years honing my skills in a melodic metal band.
My playing style is heavily influenced by my love for catchy melodies and the contrast they provide to heavy break-downs. I take pride in adding value to our songs with my creativity, not just on the guitar, but also on various other instruments and vocals. I believe that it’s the unique blend of our individual talents and influences that make Temper’s sound stand out.
Gear
I use an ESP LTD MH-1000QM Guitar screaming via a Peavey 6505+ and a 4×12 Engl cabinet with a small set of pedals.
